Spell for the Sunshine

sunshineNow, it would be wonderful to be able to spell for the sunshine to be with us all the time, however mother nature has a reason for the sunshine, or lack of it, and who are we to question that!

Instead this is a spell of thanks for the sunshine that is there, even if we don’t see it through the clouds at times, a spell to celebrate the importance of the sunshine in all our lives, and to recognise and give thanks the sunshine inside of us all!

You will need a tea-light, something to carve the candle with (toothpick, pin etc.) and some petals of a yellow dandelion flower.

Firstly, find somewhere warm and comfortable to sit. Close your eyes and visualise the warmth of the sunshine flowing through you, brighter and stronger with each slow breath.

When you are ready, take the cocktail stick, pin or whatever you are using and carve a image of the sun into the top of the candle, all the while visualising the suns warming rays.

When this is done, light the candle. Sit in front of the candle and sprinkle a few dandelion petals into the flames spelling:-

Petals of the Sunlight pure,

send blessings up into the sky.

I spell for thanks for your warming hue,

I ask that my words float way up high.

You can do this for as long as you wish, when you feel your words have been sent out your spell is done.

Allow the candle to burn away safety if you can, if not extinguish safely with a final word of thanks.

We spell for all sorts of things so it’s important to also spell for thanks, if your words are sincere they will be heard.

Is there a specific candle to use, or can it be any candle?
